Al-Ahzab, Surah The Confederates (Qur'an: Surat-33-Al-Ahzab)

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-1
33/Al-Ahzab-1: O Prophet! Be the owner of piety towards Allah and do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites! Surely Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise (the Owner of Wisdom and Judgment).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-2
33/Al-Ahzab-2: And follow what is revealed to you from your Lord. Surely Allah is All-Aware of what you do.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-3
33/Al-Ahzab-3: And put your trust in Allah and Allah is Sufficient as a Surrogate.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-4
33/Al-Ahzab-4: Allah has not made (created) for a man two hearts in his chest nor has He made your wives whose backs you liken to the backs of your mothers as your mothers (claiming this in order to divorce them), nor has He made your adopted sons Your real sons. These are but the statements in your mouths. And Allah speaks the truth, and He guides to the Way (leading to Himself).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-5
33/Al-Ahzab-5: Call them (your adopted children) by the names of their fathers. This is more just in the Presence of Allah. If you do not know their fathers, then they are your brethren in faith and your friends. And there is no blame on you concerning that in which you made a mistake, but (there is blame concerning) that which your hearts have you do intentionally, and Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving (the One Who changes evil deeds into merits), the Most Merciful (the One Who manifests Himself with His Name of Most Merciful).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-6
33/Al-Ahzab-6: The Prophet is closer to the believers than their own souls and his wives are their mothers, and the owners of kinship (relatives) are closer one to other in the Book of Allah than believers and the Emigrants. Except that you do good to your friends. These are written in the Book, line by line.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-7
33/Al-Ahzab-7: And We had taken from the Prophets their Covenants. And from you, and from Noah and Abraham and Moses and Jesus, son of Mary, We took from them a strong covenant.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-8
33/Al-Ahzab-8: That He may question the loyal of their loyalty and He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful torment.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-9
33/Al-Ahzab-9: O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah before death)! Remember Allah’s Blessing upon you. There had come down upon you armies. Then We sent against them a strong wind and armies that you could not see, and Allah is Ever All-Seeing of what you do.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-10
33/Al-Ahzab-10: When they came upon you from above and from below you, and when the eyes turned dull and the hearts rose up to the throats, you were harboring doubts about Allah.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-11
33/Al-Ahzab-11: There, the believers were tried and shaken with a mighty shaking.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-12
33/Al-Ahzab-12: And the disbelievers and those in whose hearts was a disease (doubt) were saying: “Allah and His Messenger did not promise us anything but pride (deception)”.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-13
33/Al-Ahzab-13: And a party of them said: “O people of Yathrib (Al-Madinah)! There is no place to stand for you (here), therefore turn back”! And (another) party of them was asking permission of the Prophet, saying: “Surely our houses are without protection”. And they were not without protection but they were just wishing to flee (from the battle).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-14
33/Al-Ahzab-14: And upon them, if an entry were made from every part of it (the city), and they had then been asked (to cause) Al-Fitnah (mischief), they would absolutely have come to it (to cause mischief) and they would not have stayed there but a little.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-15
33/Al-Ahzab-15: And certainly they had made a covenant with Allah before not to turn their backs and flee. And a covenant with Allah is a responsibility.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-16
33/Al-Ahzab-16: Say: “Fleeing will not avail you if you flee from death or being killed. Then you will not be allowed to enjoy yourselves but a little while”.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-17
33/Al-Ahzab-17: Say: “Who can protect you from Allah if He wishes harm for you, or wishes mercy for you”? They can not find any friend or helper other than Allah.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-18
33/Al-Ahzab-18: Allah certainly knew those among you who hindered (the help to the Prophet) and those who said to their brethren: “Come to us”. And they do not come to the battle but a little.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-19
33/Al-Ahzab-19: They are stingy towards you. But when fear comes, then you see them looking at you, their eyes rolling like one fainting because of death. They smite you with sharp tongues (with harsh words). They are not the believers. Therefore Allah has made their deeds vain (null, fruitless) and this was ever easy to Allah.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-20
33/Al-Ahzab-20: They (disbelievers) think that the (enemy) armies are not gone and if the armies should come, they would wish that they were with the Arabs (leaking in) asking for news about you, and if they were among you, they would not fight but a little.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-21
33/Al-Ahzab-21: Certainly you have in the Messenger of Allah an excellent exemplar for him who hopes to reach Allah and the Last Day (the day of reaching Allah before death) and remember (repeat the Name of) Allah much.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-22
33/Al-Ahzab-22: And when the believers saw the (enemy) armies, they said: “This (victory) is what Allah and His Messenger promised. Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth”. And this only increased them in Faith and Submission.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-23
33/Al-Ahzab-23: Of the believers are men who were true to the covenant which they made with Allah (to remain loyal to their promise given to Allah that they would remain patient until they would become martyrs). So some of them accomplished their covenant (died a martyr), and some of them are waiting (being a martyr) and they have not changed (anything from their covenants) in the least.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-24
33/Al-Ahzab-24: That Allah may reward the loyal for their loyalty, and torment the disbelievers or accept their repentance if He wills. Surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving (the One who changes evil deeds into merits), the Most Merciful (the one Who manifests Himself with His Name of Most Merciful).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-25
33/Al-Ahzab-25: And Allah turned back the disbelievers in their rage, they could not obtain any good (they could not become victorious) and Allah sufficed the believers in the war (by making them victorious). And Allah is Ever All-Strong, All-Mighty.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-26
33/Al-Ahzab-26: And He drove down those of the People of the Book who backed them from their fortresses and He cast terror into their hearts. A group (of them) you were killing and a group (of them) you were taking captives.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-27
33/Al-Ahzab-27: And He made you heirs to their soil and their country, their property, and land which you have not yet stepped on and Allah has Power over all things.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-28
33/Al-Ahzab-28: O prophet! Say to your wives: “If you desire the life of this world and its adornment, then come, I will give you a provision (I will give you your Mahr) and divorce you in a handsome manner”.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-29
33/Al-Ahzab-29: And if you desire Allah and His Messenger and the Abode of the Hereafter, then surely Allah has prepared for the good-doing women among you a Mighty Reward (an Immense Wage).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-30
33/Al-Ahzab-30: O wives of the Prophet! Whoever of you comes with an open indecency, the torment shall be increased for her in double. And this is ever easy for Allah.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-31
33/Al-Ahzab-31: And whoever of you is obedient (devoted with reverence) to Allah and His Messenger, and does improving deeds (does the soul’s cleansing), We give her reward in double. And We have prepared for her an honorable (generous) sustenance.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-32
33/Al-Ahzab-32: O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other of the women. If you are the owners of piety, then be not soft in speech, (do not speak to men appealingly, lest he in whose heart is a disease (temptation, lust) desires. And speak a somber (serious) word.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-33
33/Al-Ahzab-33: And stay in your houses. Do not display (your embellishments) yourselves like the Time of Ignorance. And keep up the Prayer and pay Alms (Zakat). Obey Allah and His Messenger. O people of the House! Allah only wishes to keep away the sin from you and to cleanse you with a thorough cleansing.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-34
33/Al-Ahzab-34: And repeat (remember) what is recited in your houses of the Verses of Allah and the wisdom. Surely Allah is All-Subtle (Knower of subtleties), All-Aware.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-35
33/Al-Ahzab-35: Surely the men who submit (to Allah) and the women who submit (to Allah) and the believing men and the believing women, the obedient men (devoted to Allah with reverence) and the obedient women (devoted to Allah with reverence), the loyal men and the loyal women, and the patient men and the patient women, the humble men (in reverence to Allah) and the humble women (in reverence to Allah), and the almsgiving men and the almsgiving women and the fasting men and the fasting women and the men who guard their chastity from illegal sexual acts and the women who guard their chastity from illegal sexual acts, and the men who remember (repeat the Name of) Allah much and the women who remember Allah much! Allah has prepared for them Forgiveness and a Great Reward.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-36
33/Al-Ahzab-36: And it is not for a believing man or a believing woman to have any choice in their affair when Allah and His Messenger have decided an affair for them. And whoever is rebellious (disobedient) to Allah and His Messenger, indeed strayed into a plain Misguidance.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-37
33/Al-Ahzab-37: And you had said to the person on whom Allah has bestowed Blessings and you have blessed as well: “Keep your wife (to yourself and do not divorce) and have piety towards Allah”. You were hiding in your soul (yourself) that which Allah will make manifest and you were afraid of the people. Allah has a better right that you should fear Him. So when Zaid had abscised his desire from her, We married her to you, so that there may be no difficulty to the believers in respect of (the marriage of) the wives of their adopted sons when the latter have no desire to keep them (they have divorced them). (So) Allah’s Command had been fulfilled.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-38
33/Al-Ahzab-38: There is no difficulty for the Prophet in (fulfilling) what Allah has ordained for him. That has been the Sunnetallah (Course of Allah). Allah’s command was a decreed destiny (that is fulfilled).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-39
33/Al-Ahzab-39: They (the Prophets) convey the Message of Allah and are in reverence towards Him, and do not fear any but Allah. And Allah is Sufficient as a Reckoner.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-40
33/Al-Ahzab-40: Muhammed is not the father of any of your men. But he is the (Resul) Messenger of Allah and the Seal (the Last) of the Nebis (Prophets). Allah is Ever All-Knower of all things.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-41
33/Al-Ahzab-41: O you who believe (who are Amenû, who wish to reach Allah while they are living)! Remember (repeat the Name of) Allah with much remembrance (more than half of the day).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-42
33/Al-Ahzab-42: And glorify Him morning and evening.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-43
33/Al-Ahzab-43: It is He Who sends (by means of the glorious light of) benedictions on you, and (along with) His angels, that He may bring you (your soul s heart) forth out of utter darkness into the enlightenment, and He is Most Merciful to the believers (He manifests Himself with His Name of Most Merciful).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-44
33/Al-Ahzab-44: Their greeting (reward) on the Day when they shall meet Him is: “Peace” and an honorable (generous) reward have been prepared for them.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-45
33/Al-Ahzab-45: O Prophet! Surely We have sent you as a witness, and as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a Warner.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-46
33/Al-Ahzab-46: And as one inviting to Allah by His Permission and as a (glorious) light-giving lamp.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-47
33/Al-Ahzab-47: And give glad tidings to the believers that there is great (glorious light of) Virtue from Allah for them.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-48
33/Al-Ahzab-48: And do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and ignore (their) annoyances and put your trust in Allah. And Allah is Sufficient as a Surrogate (for you).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-49
33/Al-Ahzab-49: O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah while they are alive)! When you marry the believing women, then divorce them before you touch them, you have in their case no term. So give some provision to them (give their Mahr) and release them with a fair divorce.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-50
33/Al-Ahzab-50: O Prophet! Surely We have made permissible to you your wives to whom you have paid their Mahr and those (concubines) whom your right hand possesses out of those whom Allah has given to you as bounty of war. And the daughters of your paternal uncles and the daughters of your paternal aunts and the daughters of your maternal uncles and the daughters of your maternal aunts who migrated with you, and a believing woman who offered Her soul (herself) to the Prophet, and where the Prophet also wishes to marry her, (We made lawful) specially for you, not for the (rest of) believers. We know what We have obligated upon them (rest of the believers) about their wives and those (concubines) whom their right hands possess (this is) in order that there should be no difficulty on you. Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful (the One Who manifests Himself with His Name of Most Merciful).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-51
33/Al-Ahzab-51: You may put off whom you please of them, and you may take to you whom you please. And there is no blame for you whom you desire of those (again) that you had released. This is most proper, so that their eyes may be cool (that they are happy), and they may not grieve, and they should be pleased, all of them, with what you have given them. And Allah knows what is in your hearts and Allah is Ever All-Knowing, Most Gentle.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-52
33/Al-Ahzab-52: After this, it is not lawful for you to change (with another woman) one of the (other) women or your wives even though their beauty pleases you, except those (concubines) whom your right hand possesses. And Allah is Watcher over all things.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-53
33/Al-Ahzab-53: O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah while they are living)! Do not enter the Prophet’s houses unless permission is given to you! (If you have entered them) do not wait (taking your time) for a meal to be prepared. But enter when you are invited. When you have eaten your food, disperse immediately and do not linger for conversation, nor keep with your conversation (talk without permission). Surely this was causing annoyance to the Prophet but he was feeling shy of you. Allah is not shy of (telling you) the truth. When you ask of them (the wives of the Prophet) anything, ask of them from behind a curtain. This is purer for your and their hearts. It cannot be (lawful) for you that you to annoy the Messenger of Allah and after this for you to marry his wives forever. Surely this is an enormous sin in the Sight of Allah.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-54
33/Al-Ahzab-54: Whether you divulge a thing or keep it hidden, surely Allah is Ever All-Knowing of all things.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-55
33/Al-Ahzab-55: There is no sin on them (the Prophet’s wives) to appear to their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their brothers’ sons, or their sisters’ sons, or their own women, or what their right hands possess (their slaves). Have piety towards Allah. Surely Allah is Ever All-Witness over everything.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-56
33/Al-Ahzab-56: Allah and His angels Salat to the Prophet. O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah before death) Salat to him as well! And Salat to him submitted.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-57
33/Al-Ahzab-57: Surely (as for) those who annoy Allah and His Messenger, Allah has cursed them in this world and in the Hereafter and has prepared for them a humiliating torment.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-58
33/Al-Ahzab-58: And those who annoyed the believing men and the believing women without their having earned (undeservedly, while they did not commit any offense), they bore of slander and sin.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-59
33/Al-Ahzab-59: O Prophet! Say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers (believing women) that they wrap themselves up in their over garments (cover themselves). This is more proper, that they may be known (that they are not female slaves but they are free and chaste women) and thus they will not be given annoyance and Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-60
33/Al-Ahzab-60: If the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease and those who spread false news among the people in the city do not desist, We shall most certainly let you attack them. Then they will not be (able to stay in it as) your neighbors but a little while.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-61
33/Al-Ahzab-61: The cursed ones (those who have undergone the curse); wherever they are found they shall be seized and killed violently (over and over).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-62
33/Al-Ahzab-62: This is (also) the Sunnatullah (the Law of Allah) with respect to those who passed away of old. And you can not find any change in the Sunnatullah of Allah.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-63
33/Al-Ahzab-63: People ask you of that Hour (the Day of Resurrection). Say: “The knowledge of it is with Allah only”. And it is not made known to you. It may be that the Hour is near.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-64
33/Al-Ahzab-64: Surely Allah has cursed the disbelievers. He has prepared for them a flaming Fire (Hell).
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-65
33/Al-Ahzab-65: They are the ones to abide therein forever. They can not find a friend or a helper.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-66
33/Al-Ahzab-66: On the Day when their faces are turned over (from one side to another) in the Fire, they shall say: “O, would that we had obeyed Allah and had obeyed the Messenger”!
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-67
33/Al-Ahzab-67: And those who are in hell say: “Our Lord! We surely obeyed our notables (in religion) and our great ones (in administration) so we strayed away from Your Way (Sıratı Mustakîm)”.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-68
33/Al-Ahzab-68: Our Lord! Give them double torment and curse them with a mighty curse!
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-69
33/Al-Ahzab-69: O you who believe (who are Amenû)! Be not like those who persecuted Moses! And Allah cleared him of what they said, and he was worthy of regard in Allah’s Presence.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-70
33/Al-Ahzab-70: O you who believe (who are Amenû), be the owners of piety towards Allah and speak the right word.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-71
33/Al-Ahzab-71: (So) let Him improve your deeds (let Him change them into improving deeds) and forgive you your sins (let Him change them into merits) and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, he indeed is saved with the greatest reward.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-72
33/Al-Ahzab-72: Surely We did offer the Trust (the Spirit) to the heavens and the earth and the mountains but shrank from bearing it and feared from it and human under-took it. Surely it (the soul) is very tyrant, very ignorant.
Listen Quran: 33/Al-Ahzab-73
33/Al-Ahzab-73: So that Allah may torment the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women and the associating men and the associating women and to accept the repentance of the believing men and the believing women. Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving (the One Who forgives, Who changes evil deeds into merits), Most Merciful (the One Who manifests Himself with His Name of Most Merciful).
